Safety Engineer


Taylor Leigh Construction's Safety Engineer assists in the overall supervision and administration of project safety, accident, and fire protection programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. The Safety Engineer participates in developing and instructing safety orientation training, accompany inspection agencies on job site tours, and assist in any safety/first aid and rescue squad activities. It is the Safety Engineer’s responsibility to document all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions, as well as conduct work area surveillance inspections, property, damage, and personal injury investigations.

Qualifications
  • Four year occupational safety/health degree
  • Three to four years construction safety experience or equivalent training and related experience
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to enforce, all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential
